COSTELLAZIONI MILANO
Multidisciplinary work
Berlin, 2021
Costellazioni Milano was part of the ‘Vergissminnicht’ site-specific installation at Hošek Contemporary, Berlin, 2021.

Inspired by Ariosto’s epic poem Orlando Furioso (1516), 74 plasters lost on the street of Milan are collected and pinned on the map of the city. These forgotten wounds are riunited in twelve new constellations, a shift in the symbolic narrative and archetype of the bodies in the Zodiacal Man from the medieval astrology.

The location of each plaster is translated into sound thanks to a collaboration with the sound artist Luca Longobardi. The digitisation process is projected onto a semi-transparent fabric that float with the wind.
This multidisciplinary project investigates the human urge and desire to find answers in imaginary places, where everyday objects take on a whole new value only when they have been lost or forgotten.
