Costellazioni Milano

KRU Exhibition at Vôtre - Palazzo del Medico, Carrara, Italy

Curated by Chiara Guidi and Gloria Amorena

Ludovico Ariosto in the ‘Orlando Furioso’ describes the lunar landscape as a graveyard of forgotten objects.
Inspired from the tale, 64 plasters lost in Milan are collected with their position on the map, coming together in new constellations.
The embroidery work wants to celebrate the everyday life of a myth. A metaphor that becomes a decoration on a commun and familiar element like a hand-sewn curtain which, with its imperfection, presupposes a distracted body looking at the stars.
